Matthew Walkerdine is a designer and illustrator from the North of England.
With a constant refusal to stick to a singular way of working, Matthews work explores lo-fi processes, repetition, primitave marks and icons and words that mean other words. Works are two and three-dimensional and never ashamed of their mistakes and flaws. Matthew creates the noticeable from the unnoticed.
Work has been featured and published by many people, books and websites including Lomography, Tate, Design Week, A-N Magazine and Creative Review.
In January 2010 Matthew co-founded Salford zinelibrary with illustrator Craig John Barr. For more information see the website.
